Reclaimed Water Pond
J B Dirtworks Inc. was honored to partner with the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians on the construction of a critical reclaimed water percolation pond that will help support the Tribe's long-term sustainability and future growth. As a Native American-owned grading and excavating contractor, it is especially meaningful for our team to contribute to infrastructure that strengthens another local tribal community and invests in its future.
Our scope of work included the complete grading and earthwork operations for the approximately 5.5-acre reclaimed water pond, including site preparation, rough grading, finish grading, and compaction to engineered specifications. Once complete, the pond will hold approximately 7 million gallons of Title 22 tertiary-treated recycled water. Rather than discharging treated water, the system allows it to naturally percolate back into the groundwater aquifer, helping the Viejas Band achieve zero water discharge while promoting long-term water sustainability and self-sufficiency.
This essential infrastructure project not only supports responsible environmental stewardship but also provides the additional water capacity needed to accommodate continued growth and development on the Viejas Reservation. J B Dirtworks Inc. is proud to partner once again with Nakhhshab Development and Design Inc. on the Castellana Residence, a luxury custom home in beautiful La Jolla, California. As the project's earthwork and grading contractor, our team is performing extensive site preparation, including clearing and grubbing, excavation to support shoring operations, large-scale soil export, and precision finish grading. With every project, we bring experienced operators, specialized equipment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency to help build a strong foundation for exceptional homes.
Mira Mesa Community Park Improvements Phase II
J B Dirtworks Inc. was proud to contribute to the transformation of the 17-acre Mira Mesa Community Park Improvements Phase II, a landmark City of San Diego project designed to enhance recreational opportunities and improve the quality of life for residents throughout the community. Our team performed extensive grading, excavation, and earthwork operations to prepare the site for several key park amenities, helping establish the foundation for one of San Diego's premier recreational destinations.
Our scope of work included precision grading and site preparation for the reconfiguration of the existing ballfields, construction of new children's playgrounds, and development of the project's signature all-wheels skate plaza. One of the most technically demanding aspects of the project, the skate plaza required meticulous grading to create the intricate elevations, transitions, and contours necessary for a modern, world-class skating facility. Combined with our work on the athletic fields and playgrounds, this project showcases J B Dirtworks' expertise in delivering complex earthwork solutions for recreational facilities that will serve the community for generations.
In addition to these improvements, the overall project features a new aquatic complex, renovated recreation center, basketball courts striped for pickleball, expanded parking, upgraded security and sports lighting, landscaping, irrigation, public art, and numerous community gathering spaces. J B Dirtworks is honored to have played a role in constructing a park that promotes recreation, accessibility, and community connection while demonstrating the quality workmanship, precision grading, and dependable excavation services that define our company.
United Airlines Hangar and Terminal (UAHT) at the San Diego International Airport
J B Dirtworks Inc. was honored to play a key role in the historic United Airlines Hangar and Terminal restoration at San Diego International Airport, working alongside Soltek Pacific. Our team performed extensive earthwork and grading to prepare the site for the relocation and reconstruction of one of San Diego's most iconic aviation landmarks. Originally built in 1931, this historic hangar is being carefully restored to preserve its rich history while supporting its future use. We are proud to have contributed our expertise to a project that will help preserve an important piece of San Diego's heritage for generations to come.

Precision Metal Products
El Cajon Forge
PMP El Cajon Forge was a private project funded by the owner. JB Dirtworks was contracted with C&S Construction to perform Excavation, Grading & De-Watering. From start to finish this project was riddled with challenges that JB Dirtworks met with solutions and enthusiasm to work through the challenges. Not mentioned in the most current soils report was compromised soil that had to be carefully handled and disposed of safely. JB Dirtworks was able to save the owner thousands of dollars by stock piling soils on site and getting creative with trucking. Dewatering an excavation is always met with unforeseen issues but JB Dirtworks was able to get the job done.
Ramey
JB Dirtworks, contracted directly with the developer, Ideal Manufactured Homes, proved to be a challenging but successful experience. Riddled with hard rock, excavation of this site was done with careful precision. Pre-job planning, along with value engineering gave the developer a sense of ease knowing JB Dirtworks would handle business.
